This is taylor

Taylor first became interested in dementia working as a CNA on a Alzheimer's unit in college. She graduated from Grand View University in Des Moines, Iowa with a BA in Visual Arts & Art Therapy, and through these experiences found herself increasingly passionate about supporting arts in healthcare. She subsequently earned a MA in Arts, Festival & Cultural Management from Queen Margaret University in Edinburgh, UK. During this time, her grandmother was diagnosed with Alzheimer's disease and this inspired her to conduct thesis research on dementia friendly initiatives in the arts sector. Now at home, Taylor serves on the Alzheimer's Association's Social Engagement Committee.

Taylor possesses a deeply infectious love for people and has extended that love to many in need throughout the world. She has been a part of the Catholic Worker Movement, orphanage outreach in Romania, art therapy groups for formerly-abducted women and children in Uganda, teaching handicapped children in Morocco, building homes for deportees in Mexico, and distaster-relief efforts in Haiti. She currently lives in Des Moines, works for a digital marketing agency and is enjoying being a new mom to her son, Milo.

It is hard to tear Taylor away from dance floors, mountains, or a pint of Ben & Jerry's. You can often find her painting, blogging (click here) , and savouring lots of good coffee and conversation.
